USD599 ex gst ! stock in Australia - be Quick while stocks last - dji Zenmuse Z15 Panasonic GH3 gimbal (Australia) for Zuiko 12mm ƒ2 Version lens - Everybody knows the GH3 shoots far crisper images and video in 1080p than the newer GH4 which might claim 4k but is blurry and dull in 1080p - how many shoots are even done in 4K really? not many - GH3 is way cheaper solution - Film Directors have only just begun to realise the potential storyboards they can draw for this new camera gimbal - Jib operators are in a state of panic when their half million dollar booms can be beat by the Z15 - Imagine a gimbal so fast that the human eye cannot detect any camera movement - how could this engineering feat even be done? - simple -> just combine the fastest direct drive stepper motors available on the market with dedicated high speed IMU electronics. The down side is that the motors are so fast and the torque to achieve this speed is so high - that the camera and lens combination must be exactly matched to the gimbal - this means the DJI Z15 Zenmuse gimbal is both APSC and Camera and Lens specific. This is the PANASONIC GH3 OLYMPUS M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 12mm f2.0 lens VERSION - The Sony Nex5/7 version is here. Some film directors want to fly much heavier cameras such as DSLR or Red epic - sure - unfortunately DSLR mass inertia is too high and the vision disappoints - more-over these cams mass push the overall UAV weight off the clock and noise and RISK right up there - the aerodynamics of the multicopter to the Reynolds number can be lost - giving the advantage back to a traditional large RC helicopter which inturn has its own aerodynamic and safety limitations similar to a manned helicopter - watch this video below and decide if the GH2 footage is the real limitation or is the light weight and low risk of the smaller camera an asset to the film Director - give him/her options they NEVER previously had.... only with Z15
WARNING gimbals MUST be perfectly balanced in 3 axis 100% of the time when powered up - YOU must check this at Pre-Flight - Failure to check balance, adding alternate lenses, lens hoods or jamming motors can lead to motor burn out and jitter and is NOT covered by dji warranty
Question - Why is it USD1000 cheaper than the the other gimbals ?
Many of the components in the new GH3 Zenmuse are made from plastic to reduce costs
